Until the 28th, researchers from Ecuador, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, the United States and China will discuss the university-environment relationship as a space for growth with sustainable development.
At the opening of the event, Canada’s ambassador to Cuba, John Geoffrey Gartshore, highlighted the scientific link between the academy in Holguin and that country, based on the consolidated and long-standing work of the Professorship of Canadian Studies.
Precisely, this center promotes within the Conference, the International Congress on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture (Wefla 2023) and the International Seminar on Canadian Studies, Management of Social Diversity and Culture in Times of Pandemic.
The diplomat also highlighted the contributions of the project Strengthening Women’s Leadership and Participation in the Renewable Energy Sector in Cuba, carried out by the Canadian International Development Agency, the Sherritt International Corporation and the University of Moa.
On this occasion, in the most important academic meeting organized by the House of Higher Studies of Holguin, 10 symposiums will be held collaterally, among them those on Tourism Management, Sustainable Development and Social Sciences and Society.
