Cuba is second in the table of medals by nations with 29 titles, 15 silver and 13 bronze medals, while Nicaragua ranks third with 5-13-37, followed by Bolivia (3-1-4).
Swimming, skating and kenpo are the sports in which the host country has been winning most gold medals. Of 36 finals staged in three aquatic days at the ALBA pool, the Venezuelan swimmers won 21 events, in addition to all 15 titles in kenpo.
In skating, Venezuela gave a perfect performance of 12-12, while the Venezuelan anthem was heard 13 times at the gymnasium of the Army Military Academy, where the tae kwon do competition concluded on Monday night. Cuba has so far excelled in judo, in which it won 11 of 15 titles in dispute at the National Complex in the United Nations Park.
