Gonsalves, who is also temporary president of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), arrived on Sunday night at the Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, La Guaira state, where he was welcomed by the Deputy Minister for the Caribbean Area Raul Li Causi.
It is the prime minister’s second visit to Caracas this year, since in February, he paid an official visit and met with President Nicolas Maduro and other Venezuelan authorities.
On November 4, the Venezuelan head of State received Gonsalves at the Miraflores Palace, the Government’s seat, where they discussed issues of bilateral interest. This visit focuses on the alliances between the two nations, the review of bilateral cooperation and brotherly relations.
