The senior Ukrainian military officer referred to the tactics used by the Germans at the beginning of their attack on the Soviet Union, when they managed to skirt the Red Army trench lines, known as the “Stalin Line”, and continue their offensive eastwards.
That is why, the Ukrainian armed forces should “advance where there are no Russians in the trenches,” the military officer added.
At the same time, Krivonos recognized the superiority of the Russian troops over the Ukrainian forces in the ability to build fortifications on the ground, since Moscow has always paid special attention to defensive structures, but this area was ignored in Ukraine.
Let’s recall that recently, the media quoted secret documents leaked to the net, according to which Ukraine was preparing for a counteroffensive on April 30.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said that the counteroffensive by Kiev’s Armed Forces will begin “in the near future.”
