Wu Xi, Director General of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told reporters that President Xi Jinping has given precise instructions to guarantee the safety of citizens and companies in the African country.
According to Wu, the Chinese Embassy keeps in touch with them, urging them to report any problems and to exercise caution.
The Foreign Ministry said last week that it collected the information from Chinese citizens living in Sudan because it is considering their evacuation in light of deteriorating security there, where clashes between the Sudanese army and the insurgent group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have left more than 400 dead.
In addition, Chinese authorities called for an end to the hostilities that broke out on April 15, plunging the country into chaos and more than 3,500 injured.
