The sources, quoted by the national television Al-Suriya, indicated that a US caravan made up of 34 tankers loaded with crude oil, left the oil fields in the northeastern province of Hasakeh, and entered Iraq through the Al-Walid illegal crossing.
The caravan was guarded by armed members of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an illegal group financed and sponsored by Washington.
According to Syrian authorities, the country currently produces only 80,000 barrels of crude oil daily, 66,000 of which are plundered by US troops and the SDF.
