Mexico Prosecutor’s Office accuses former judge in Ayotzinapa case

Mexico City, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) The Mexican Attorney General's Office today accused former prosecutor Jesús Murillo of a crime against humanity for inventing an alleged historical truth through torture, about the forced disappearance of 43 teachers of Ayotzinapa. In a hearing at the Federal Criminal Justice Center before Judge Felipe de Jesús Delgadillo, Murillo Karam's defense asked not to link him to proceedings for said crimes.

The lawyer did so under the argument that the Public Ministry does not provide evidence to prove the prosecutor’s accusation that his client gave secret instructions in this regard to his subordinate Tomas Zerón, a fugitive from justice.

The FGR indicates that a person identified as Felipe “N”, presented as one of the participants in the disappearance of the 43 normalistas, was the victim of acts of torture that were committed in the course of the artificial creation of the historical truth of the Ayotzinapa case. .

It adds that acts of widespread torture were committed against other detainees and identified as presumed members of Guerreros Unidos, and that they appear in a video released during a press conference in which Murillo Karam alluded to the so-called “historical truth” of the so-called Iguala case.

Prosecutors point out that members of the Army, members of the Center for Investigation and National Security, Tomás Zerón (asylee in Israel) and personnel from the now-defunct Federal Police, joined forces to commit acts against humanity.

In the same way, Murillo Karam was informed at the hearing that the federal authorities used the Pegasus malware to spy on Felipe “N” and 14 of his relatives, as well as to apprehend him, who was designated as an alleged member of Guerreros Unidos and currently, by way of amparo, he was acquitted of the charges.
