According to historical documents, both diplomats were killed 47 years ago by a bomb explosion at the Cuban embassy in Lisbon.
Upon detecting the explosive device, Adriana Corcho alerted the rest of the officials and staffers at the embassy about the situation.
Every year, the Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX) commemorates the sad incident that was part of a chain of terrorist acts sponsored by the CIA with the aim of weakening and destroying the Cuban Revolution.
