Speaking to Prensa Latina, the Cuban resident in Belgium stated the humanitarian initiative plans to make small shipments and create conditions to send a fifth container in 2024, after the three ones shipped in 2021 and another one that is expected to arrive in Cuba in the first half of May.
We continue working. We´re a team that is growing as an association, and we are already made up of about thirty members, Romero added.
According to Romero, the work in progress consists of seeking new partners and contacts to get health and sports equipment and other inputs, and to organize fundraising cultural activities.
We are also open to coordination with other associations, since we want to aid our compatriots in Cuba as much as possible, he stressed.
The container -filled two weeks ago- health and sports equipment for volleyball, basketball, badminton and boxing, toys and materials for day-care centers.
