Dinh Hue, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, was received on Thursday by the leader of the Revolution, Army General Raul Castro, and the President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel, among other senior leaders.
Both parties ratified the exemplary and endearing relations between the two countries for more than six decades, forged by their respective historical leaders, Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh. They also highlighted the common will to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
The president of the Vietnamese Parliament reiterated his congratulations to the highest authorities of the Cuban State and Government for their re-election on April 19th in the Constitutive Session of the 10th Legislature of the National People’s Power Assembly. He also appreciated the opportunity to speak at the First Extraordinary Session of the Assembly, held last Wednesday on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the Victory of Playa Girón (Bay of Pigs).
The program of Dinh Hue for last Thursday included talks with Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, in which the parties ratified their willingness to continue increasing and strengthening cooperative relations between the two nations.
The agenda that Dinh Hue will develop, until April 23rd, includes meetings with other senior leaders, the signing of important cooperation agreements and visits to places of interest.
