Kiviko, who also heads the Crimean-Cuban Friendship Society, told Prensa Latina that the exhibition “History and traditions of Russian-Cuban friendship in Crimea” includes more than 130 archive documents, including photographic materials.

For the first time in our republic there is an exhibition of this type of archive materials, with documents, photographs on the stay of Cuban delegations in Crimea, as well as on Cubans who were trained in the peninsula, added the high official.

These are very interesting materials, I think they will be useful not only for researchers, but also for ordinary people,” Kiviko said.

According to her, a significant part of the documents has not been exhibited before and reveals the long history of friendship between Cuba and Russia. The exhibition is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Ernesto Che Guevara’s birth.

The organizers were the State Committee of Archives of the Republic of Crimea and the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba.

The exhibition will provide an opportunity to learn about documents of representatives of the Republic of Cuba who participated in state and friendship visits, educational programs, as well as extensive photographic material on the above-mentioned topic.
