According to authorities, a Russian plane laden with nearly 15 tons of food and relief materials landed at the International Airport in the Latakia province.
The flight is part of an airlift that will transport 270 tons of aid in less than a week as ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In addition, a ship carrying medical supplies, food, clothing and children’s items collected by solidarity workers in Romania and Bulgaria arrived in the port of Tartous.
The Russian military in Syria continues to deliver aid, and has distributed baskets with food, porridge, personal hygiene products and drinking water in a nursery in the municipality of Hassieh, Homs province, in the last 24 hours.
In southern Syria, a convoy made up of 14 trucks laden with Jordanian assistance arrived in the country through the Nassib border checkpoint.
