According to Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, at the meeting they discussed prioritized projects underway and perspectives for the effective participation of Russia in the Economic-Social Development Plan of Cuba until 2030.
The highest representative of Russian diplomacy was received earlier by his counterpart from this Antillean nation, who thanked him for the solidarity of his country during the confrontation with the Covid-19 pandemic, with donations of food and medical supplies.
In that meeting, Rodríguez expressed the gratitude of the island for the invariable position of the Eurasian nation in the demand for the cessation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and for the removal of the name of the Caribbean island from the spurious list of countries sponsors of terrorism.
