The prisoner exchange between the Yemeni government and Saudi Arabia with the Houthi rebel forces took place over the past few days in three stages, in which about 1,000 persons from both sides were released.

The document also highlights that the process of reopening ports and airports, as well as the payment of salaries to government employees, are among the most important achievements.

The Yemeni parliament also praised the efforts of the negotiating team and the Yemeni government’s captive affairs committee, and described, as fraternal and humanitarian, the role played by the Sultanate of Oman in the negotiations.

The statement also called for the start of new dialogues leading to an inclusive and just peace to restore stability, security as well as the national sovereignty of the country.
