The National Anti-Corruption Police took Ysmel Romer Serrano, former Vice President of Trade and Supply of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), to the hearing at the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service in El Helicoide, Caracas.
Romer Serrano, who was also a Secretary General of the Government in Aragua state, was the director of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG) International and the president of the Social Security Deposit Guarantee Fund.
The other defendants were Salem Hassoun Atrach, allegedly linked to the PDVSA-Crypto plot, and Leoner Jesús Azuaje, for his alleged involvement in the CVG conspiracy.
On Twitter, Attorney General Tarek William Saab detailed that 61 people have been so far arrested for their alleged links to five corruption plots.
