Dagdelen affirmed in an article by the German media Junge Welt that the United States and the European nations, in their race to maintain their hegemony in opposition to the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, are isolating themselves from the remaining countries of the world.
The lawmaker said that the Western states do not want to lose their status, thus opposing the global decline of the influence of the United States and the European Union.
Former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers recently said that his country is losing its hegemony and the former influence worldwide due to the alliance between Russia and China.
According to him, the world is fragmenting, and, at the same time, the feeling that the United States is not the best party to be associated with.
The Global Times, in turn, pointed out that all attempts by US authorities to maintain their supremacy will inevitably fail as more and more voices are calling for a new world order.
