According to Al-Watan, President Bashar Al-Assad expects to receive the head of Saudi diplomacy.
This visit comes a week after his Syrian counterpart Faisal al-Mekdad wound up a working visit to Saudi Arabia, the first of its kind by a senior Syrian official to this Persian Gulf state since the outbreak of the war in the country and the breakdown of the bilateral relations in 2012.
During the latest visit, Damascus and Riyadh announced the resumption of consular services and flights between the two countries.
They also agreed on solving the humanitarian problems, providing an appropriate environment for aid to reach all Syrian regions, creating conditions for returning Syrian refugees to their areas, and ending their sufferings.
