During the meeting, Mohamed Dileita and Caballero Torres reviewed parliamentary cooperation and its role in diplomatic matters, and the ways to strengthen joint actions by the parliaments of the two countries through their friendship groups, according to a press release to which Prensa Latina had access.
The Djiboutian parliamentarian affirmed that his country has always considered Cuba a leading partner, “with which we must deepen our strategic partnership in several sectors,” the text stated.
He assured the Cuban ambassador that he will be available to help him fulfill his diplomatic mission in the national territory.
Caballero Torres, in turn, congratulated Mohamed Dileita on his election as a speaker of the National Assembly and stressed that the brotherhood between the two countries “is based on strong cultural roots and the solidarity that unite Cuba with all African nations.”
Also present at the meeting were Secretary General Ismail Goulal Boudine, and Idriss Mohamed Ahmed, director of the President’s Cabinet.
