Members of the National Network of Solidarity with Cuba (NNOC), a coalition that has more than 50 organizations in favor of lifting the US blockade, will be part of the 16th May 1 International Brigade, a group that attends union activities organized in the Caribbean nation.
The participants will have the opportunity to witness the parade for the union anniversary in the Plaza de la Revolución José Martí, in Havana. They will also visit the provinces of Artemisa, Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus.
It is also expected that -as is traditional- the brigade will visit, between April 23 and May 7, places of historical, economic, cultural and social interest; carry out voluntary work days and exchange with actors of Cuban civil society. The group coordinates every year with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples to lead the US delegation in that brigade that has become “an important part of the fight against the illegal and inhuman US blockade of over 60 years,” said the NNOC in a message on Twitter.
