Protesters carried anti-government flags and banners with inscriptions such as “Government and media liars,” taking a stand against the Ukrainian conflict and the country’s withdrawal from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Several speakers also asked for the Government’s resignation because of rising energy prices and supporting Ukraine with arms. They also suggested a call for strikes.
The protest was peaceful, unlike a similar one held in March when some participants tried to break into the National Museum building to remove the Ukrainian flag.
According to specialists, since the outbreak of the Ukrainian war, several regional countries have protested against inflation and the high cost of living.
