The delegation, consisting of over 330 athletes, will compete in 29 of 33 disciplines programmed for the multiple-sports competition.
Nicaraguan Sports Institute Director Marlon Torres stated that the Alba Games are part of the delegation’s preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games that will be held in El Salvador in June.
During the flag ceremony, Venezuelan Ambassador to Nicaragua, Javier Arrúe, emphasized the importance of these sports games and urged the athletes to participate with all their might.
The 5th Alba Games will be held in the Venezuelan states of Caracas, Miranda, and La Guaira from April 21 to 29.
