The new BINUH chief arrived amid a critical time for Haiti, in which the socio-political crisis continues.
BINUH, which replaced the UN mission for Justice and Stability, is currently working to support national institutions to promote the rule of law, encourage dialogue between different forces in the country and protect human rights.
