After a three-day visit to China, da Silva will make a stopover in the United Arab Emirates, in what will be his second visit to this country and the first in his new mandate, according to the Emirati news agency WAM.
The president of the Brazilian-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Osmar Chohfi, stressed that Lula seeks to revive the close relationship that he maintained with the Arab world in his first two governing terms (2003-2010).
According to information from the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Lula will be received by Zayed al-Nahyan early in the evening, followed by an extended meeting, with businessmen and investors, where agreements will be signed in areas such as industry, agribusiness, and investment in sustainable projects.
In 2022, the UAE was the main destination for Brazilian exports in the League of Arab States; Sales from Brazil to this country amounted to 3.253 billion dollars, with an increase of 39.80 percent over the revenue of the previous year, led by products such as beef, chicken meat, sugar, gold, wood chemical pulp and oil.
