Since Thursday, the South American head of state held meetings with authorities, businessmen and trade unionists of China, and in all of them he ratified his government’s will to boost the integral strategic association with the aim of ensuring greater benefits for both parties.
The meeting with his counterpart, Xi Jinping, ended with a joint declaration that includes the guidelines to consolidate the work in the economic-mercantile, but also in the political, social and environmental areas.
According to the text, the two leaders called to expand in both directions trade flows, investments and win-win cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, energy transition, logistics, mining, agriculture, communications and high technology, among others.
They decided to join forces in research and initiatives to help address climate change and biodiversity loss, as well as to move towards sustainable development and a low-carbon economy.
