Ukraine is an economically non-existent country, and the question is whether we can save it, the head of government said in an interview with the Kossuth radio station, noting that he considers the country to be bankrupt.
“As soon as the US and the EU decide to stop funding the Ukrainian state, the war will end,” Orban said.
But for the moment, the situation is different, since Hungarian taxpayers also support Ukraine through the common European budget, and therefore it is wrong for the Hungarian minority to be harassed in Ukraine, the leader said.
In his opinion, the Ukrainian state administration and the health system work, and pensions and salaries are paid with the financial assistance of the US and the majority of the European Union.
Obviously, this situation cannot continue for long, the prime minister concluded.
