Marrero expressed approval of the work of the lawyers in the litigation, especially their adherence to the truth and commitment, during the annual balance of the Ministry of Justice.
However, he pointed out that this fact is a call to evaluate the vulnerabilities of the sector and urged to be “aware that every mistake will be used by the enemies of Cuba in their attempt to discredit the socialist project.”
As reported by the Cuban News Agency, Marrero highlighted the expansion of the legal culture of the citizens and insisted on the digitalization of processes, notaries and records, in accordance with the computerization of society, as priorities in the field.
He indicated that it is also necessary to ensure the correct implementation of the new regulations approved in Cuba so as to reduce the burden of procedures into the daily life of the population.
“Now it’s time to apply creativity to problems, seek alternatives and solutions, face obstacles and bureaucratism and do different things, given the current complex scenario, to live up to the hope that 2023 will be a better year for Cubans,” he said.
In this same meeting, the Minister of Justice, Oscar Silvera, detailed regulations pending ratification in the next Legislature of the National Assembly of People’s Power such as those concerning internal migration, housing, transparency and access to information, and also public information and social communication.
