He stated that both countries are deepening the strategic association of cooperation in their respective economies and in the solution of international problems.
In turn, Gang commented that “the world situation is constantly changing before our eyes, dictating the need in maintaining contacts with Moscow. We are willing to comply with the bilateral agreements”.
According to data from China’s Main Customs Administration, the trade volume between Russia and China in the first quarter of 2023 rose 38.7 percent, reaching over 53 billion US dollars.
Lavrov came to Samarkand to participate in the ministerial conference of the countries neighboring Afghanistan, as well as in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and also to exchange with the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries.
