The agreement includes the selling of coffee, honey, fruit pastes, cosmetic creams and nutritional supplements, both online and in Central Pharmacy physical stores.
The agreement was signed in the context of the third edition of the Hainan International Consumer Goods Fair, in which Cuba has a stand and promotes leading products from its export portfolio.
The first anniversary of the ‘Excelencias de Cuba’ pavilion was celebrated this Thursday, considered a pioneer in the insertion of Cuba in electronic commerce.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Cuban embassy in China, authorities from the Hainan government, directors of JD.com and representatives of other companies.
The International Consumer Goods Fair runs from April 10th to the 15th in Hainan, focused on strengthening the tourist region’s appeal as China’s largest free trade port.
Foreign firms from 65 countries are participating, and this year the exhibition area was expanded to 120,000 square meters due to the number of participants.
The exhibition seeks to boost China’s dual circulation formula, which gives greater weight to business, production and domestic spending, without abandoning international cooperation.
