“When instability reigns in world politics and in the economy, I would like to say that outer space is one of the few platforms where collaboration between Russia and foreign countries, including Western ones, continues,” said the head of the Russian Senate on the occasion of the Day of cosmonautics.

She said that the Russian government advocates for the preservation of exchanges in this area, which brings together scientists, designers, engineers, pilots and cosmonauts from different nations.

“We feel a special pride in our Motherland, as cosmonautics has become an integral part of Russia’s national economic complex, an essential link in ensuring its defense capability and technological progress in many areas,” Matvienko said.

The Minister thanked the work of the specialists who have contributed to the realization of hundreds of various experiments and studies for the manufacturing of high technology and communication systems.

During this festive day, the warmest words are addressed to the veterans of the industry who remain faithful to their profession throughout their lives, handing over their invaluable gained experience to the young people.
