“We took steps forward with the Angara-A5M carrier rocket, which has been strengthened to launch the ROS modules,” said the general director of the company, part of the Roscosmos Russian space agency, Aleksei Varochko, in an interview.
He also announced that the completion of the preliminary design of the Angara-A5M heavy-class launch vehicle was incorporated with modified power characteristics.

By October of last year, the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, reported on the preparation of a budget for the costs of the project.
Meanwhile, Roscosmos forecasts that the first scientific and energy module may be sent into space by the end of 2027.
