According to the local news agency SABA the aim of the talks is to end hostilities and lift the blockade on Yemeni ports.
The same source added that Al-Mashat appreciated Oman’s mediation and its positive role in bringing points of view to reach an honorable peace.
For his part, the head of the Saudi delegation also thanked Oman for its efforts to establish peace and stability in Yemen.
Last Thursday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry called to his Yemeni counterpart, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, to find a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to end the conflict.
