Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud signed the agreement during their first formal talks in Beijing, accompanied by Foreign Minister Qin Gang.
The agreement also refers to open consulates of these countries in different cities of their territories.
It was the first meeting between Iranian and Saudi diplomatic heads in more than seven years.
In early March, representatives of the two nations concluded a week of talks in Beijing and announced the restoration of diplomatic relations and embassies.
They also agreed to respect State sovereignty, not interfere in each other’s internal affairs, and reactivate a 2001 security cooperation agreement and another signed in 1998 the spheres of economy, trade, investment, technique, science, culture, sports, and youth ties.
Iran and Saudi Arabia severed ties in 2016.
