The Minister of Communication and Information Freddy Ñáñez disclosed in his Twitter account a video of the moment when the detainees arrived at the hearing accompanied by security forces.
Among those arrested he mentioned Pedro Maldonado, president of CVG; Edgar Sánchez, vice-president of Planning; Felipe Contreras, vice-president of Iron and Steel, and Lino Mora, executive vice president.
This is the third hearing for the presentation of functionaries who were arrested in the “Caiga quien Caiga” operation, promoted by President Nicolas Maduro.
The President assured that this process will be taken to the end, in order to put a stop to the mafias entrenched in the administration of the State, the Judiciary and the business sectors.
To date, 48 people have been charged with serious corruption offenses, presented in three separate hearings (22, 13 and 13) in the building of the Aeronautical Operations Coordination of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional).
