‘We completed scheduled maintenance work on the Siberian Power of Siberia gas pipeline. Gas transportation, as planned, has just resumed,’ the company communicated.
According to Gazprom’s release, the racking took a break from March 28 to April 4 for preventive check of gas pipeline equipment and systems, which is carried out twice a year, in spring and autumn.
On March 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his meeting in Moscow with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, expressed that the partnership with the Asian giant ‘looks to the future’, and considered it ‘the deal of the century’.
Siberian Power is the main gas pipeline from Russia to China with a length of about three thousand kilometers. It began to operate in late 2019.
As the project progresses, the volume of planned supplies will increase annually until the designed capacity of 38 billion cubic meters per year by 2025.
