The meeting will advocate facing the problem of inflation together to lower prices and face shortages, as well as the exchange of food imports and exports and the elimination of tariffs.
Honduras had an interannual inflation rate until last January of 8.93 percent, below that of December 2022 (9.80), mainly due to the reduction in fuel prices and the electricity taxis, according to a report by the Central Bank of the country.
Some 10 heads of state from countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina and Bolivia are expected to participate in the anti-inflation summit in Mexico.
The Prime Minister of Belize, Juan Antonio Briceño, and Foreign Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Keisal Melissa Peters, will also participate.
According to the information disclosed, the participants will advance in the definition of commercial facilities, logistical and financial measures, including the transfer of technology and cooperation in the creation of capacities, taking into account the reality of each country.
