The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Jerusalem denounced that the police prevented the entry of doctors to help the wounded, many of whom were detained while others were beaten.
“We denounce the Israeli incursion and flagrant attacks against the people, in clear violation of all international norms and laws,” the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement warned that systematic operations in religious sites, especially the Esplanade of the Mosques, feed the anger of the Palestinian people, Muslims and any honest person in the world. It also called on Israel to immediately stop its attacks “which terrorize the believers” during Ramadan, the holy month for Muslims.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry also criticized Israeli assaults and expressed its “categorical rejection of these practices that undermine peace efforts and are contrary to international principles and norms.” The Jordanian Foreign Ministry also demanded an end to such provocations.
