The Cuban people elected their representatives in these elections, the head of the legislature said when he received Cuban Ambassador to Syria Luis Mariano Fernandez.

Sabbagh highlighted the solid and historic relations between the two nations and their mutual support for positions, urging to strengthen ties between parliaments.

We appreciate Cuba’s staunched support for Syria and its people during the years of the terrorist war imposed on our country, Sabbagh said.

The Cuban ambassador reiterated Havana’s firm position in favor of the Syrian people in their struggle against blockade, war, and terrorism.
