During the meeting, the Cuban deputy prime minister thanked the Commission for its systematic support for Cuba.
The Commission is responsible for cooperation in biotechnology, joint projects under the Belt and Road Initiative, and the implementation of the consensus China and Cuba reached at highest level.
The meeting with Zheng was held on the second day of Perdomo’s working visit to China. The aim was to follow up on projects in sectors prioritized by both parties, including biotechnology, health, and telecommunications.
Perdomo, who leads a big Cuban delegation, will have an intense agenda in the coming days and plans to meet with other Chinese Government authorities and companies.
