Around 1:21 a.m. local time on March 30th, the Israeli enemy carried out an attack with a stream of missiles launched from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, against some positions in the vicinity of Damascus, the Ministry reported.
It added that the air defense intercepted some of the missiles, while the rest impacted, causing injuries to two soldiers and some material losses.
According to the sources, three missiles hit the airport runways, while others fell in the vicinity of the Al-Nairab airbase, east of the city of Aleppo.
Israel frequently attacks Syrian territory under the pretext of attacking Iranian targets, while Damascus claims that these hostile actions are intended to prolong the war, keep Syria unstable and weaken its national army.
Syria urged the United Nations Security Council to issue a public condemnation of ongoing aggressive Israeli actions that directly threaten regional and international peace and security, stressing that these Tel Aviv incursions fuel further tension, escalation and chaos in the region.
