According to information disclosed on the digital site of the television channel Sky tg24, ‘optimism filters after the hospitalization of the Pope, who, as explained by the Vatican press office, presents breathing difficulties, for which he was transferred last Wednesday to the Gemelli hospital in Rome.
‘In recent days, Pope Francis has complained of some breathing difficulties and this afternoon he went to the Gemelli Polyclinic for medical checks,’ reported the director of the Vatican press office, Matteo Bruni.
‘The result of these revealed a respiratory infection (excluding Covid-19) that will require a few days of appropriate hospital medical treatment’, expressed Bruni, who added that ‘Pope Francis is moved by the many messages received and expresses his gratitude for their closeness and prayers’.
