The event will take place from April 9th to the 15th, with an agenda that includes consultations, assessments, surgeries, and scientific keynote speeches on pediatric nerve microsurgery to train Cuban professionals in this new procedure of orthopedics and traumatology.
Dr. Ismaray de Avila, director of these specialties at William Soler Children’s Hospital in Havana, told Prensa Latina that Dr. Soldado’s presence would mark the day, due to his extensive international experience in treating obstetrical brachial plexus palsy.
Our main objective is to restore the functions babies lost at birth, so that they can carry out the necessary activities in life, take care of themselves without depending on the family, and fully join society without psychological trauma due to a deformity that was not corrected in time,” Ismaray said.
