The Ministry added that 693 PCR tests were made, totaling 14,335,899 samples, 1,112,807 of which have been positive cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
The eight new patients (two men and six women) come from the provinces of Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus, Holguin and Granma.
According to the MINSAP, there are no confirmed serious or critical patients in intensive care units nationwide and no deaths.
The source added that until March 28, 43,843,941 doses of Cuba’s homegrown Soberana 02, Sobearana Plus and Abdala vaccines had been administered.
