In the conversation, held in Havana’s Palace of the Revolution, the head of State highlighted the role of young people in the development of the countries of the region.
He commented that although politics can be learned from books, it needs to go hand in hand with the people.
Regarding the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, the president explained that the economic sanctions limit the country’s access to the minimum things to sustain services, risking the lives of the people.
He stated that it is necessary to put a face to the blockade to truly understand its effect, and pointed out that it not only affects Cuba, but also prevents other countries from having commercial or economic relations with Cuba.
