DPRK leader receives outgoing Cuban ambassador

Pyongyang, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Song Nam, on Tuesday received outgoing Cuban Ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Jesus Aise Sotolongo.

According to the official KCNA news agency, the official highlighted the historic friendly relations between the two nations and wished the diplomat new successes in the missions entrusted to him.

According to the source, other officials from the International Department of the WPK Central Committee were also present at the meeting.

Cuba and the DPRK established diplomatic relations on August 29, 1960.

The historic leaders of both nations, Fidel Castro Ruz and Kim Il Sung, respectively, were the ones who decided the establishment of those ties, which transcended the political and governmental scenario and were extended to the two peoples.
