During the dialogue both leaders exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and joint actions to improve them, according to the office of the Turkish leader.
Erdogan reiterated the importance of ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible through negotiations and thanked Putin for what he described as a positive attitude towards the extension of the Black Sea Initiative, signed in Istanbul in July 2022 to restart exports of cereals and fertilizers, from Ukrainian seaports.
Both leaders further expressed their satisfaction with the positive dynamics of trade and economic ties, as well as the successful implementation of joint projects in the energy sector, including the supply of gas and the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Türkiye.
The president of this nation thanked his counterpart for the assistance provided to overcome the consequences of the earthquakes last February, including the recent deployment of a Russian field hospital in Hatay province.
