A series of works on the impact of cryptocurrencies worldwide received special recognition in the form of digital journalism from the multimedia presented by this agency in the Scanner section, dedicated to this topic.
Organizers of the annual Economic Journalism Award highlighted the contribution of Prensa Latina in this matter with good practices in the use of resources that facilitate the understanding of current issues of great relevance.
At the delivery of the awards, the president of ANEC, Oscar Luis Hung, stressed the importance of raising the economic culture and contributing to disseminate the transformation process of Cuban society.
He pointed out the need to work comprehensively and be inclusive when it comes to contextualizing each of the problem situations of the national and foreign economy.
He also recalled the limitations imposed by the United States blockade against Cuba, which on many occasions, he stressed, impede the advance of the island.
During the award ceremony, which was also headed by the respective presidents of the Union of Cuban Journalists, Ricardo Ronquillo, and of Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González, respectively, articles in the categories of television, radio and written press were recognized.
Cuban journalism must be a true counterweight in the institutional decisions of the country, reiterated Ronquillo, who stated that the success of the Cuban socialist model depends on the ability to transform its economy.
