The Cuban president was present at the 28th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government that concluded this Saturday in this capital.
In this context, Díaz-Canel fulfilled a busy schedule in a short-lived event, but according to Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, who accompanied the president, the results were very positive.
In the meeting with the members of the mission and their family, the president referred to the situation in the country, the efforts being made not only to resist creatively but also to advance, and the elections for deputies to the National Assembly.
He said there has been a ferocious attack by the counterrevolution against the Cuban electoral process trying to distort it, but the priority at this time are the elections that will be held tomorrow, which will be for the unity of the homeland, the Revolution and Socialism.
He spoke of the challenges that the Assembly elected will have ahead of it, since it must be projected with a vision of the future to overcome the situation in the country.
Finally, he stated: “You will not be voting, but you will be following and are part of that effort because of what you are doing in this country where our Revolution is also present.”
