413 patients remained hospitalized, mainly adults aged over 70 and children given the growing chikungunya spread nationwide, the Health Surveillance Director Guillermo Sequera told the press.
The dispersion of chikungunya cases could be “dangerous” to the country during the Holy Week (Sunday, April 2 to Saturday, April 8), Sequera added, while assuring that the Executive is deeply concerned about the growing spread across the country, especially in Ciudad del Este, department of Alto Paraná.
It is not so good what we saw there, Sequera stated, while adding the virus is increasingly affecting minors.
