Held at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero, the event will take place under the slogan “Your Safety Up to Date,” and will bring together teachers, consultants and researchers from Cuba’s higher education centers, as well as schools, scientific institutions and others related institutions.
According to a bulletin released by the workshop’s organizers, the event will also bring together managers and technicians from companies and public administration bodies, producers, professors, teachers and community leaders in order to defend the importance of ergonomics in society.
According to the website www.giron.cu, during the event, the presentations by master’s works by Regla Caridad Catala and Engineer Juan Lazaro Acosta on the mental load in coordinators of the ramp of Varadero’s Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport will stand out.
During the workshop, research developed by UM industrial engineering students and other presentations that are the result of the Master’s Degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), an integral part of the UM postgraduate training plan since the 2018-2019 academic year, will also be presented.
The 4th Workshop on Ergonomics, Occupational and Work Safety is aimed at professionals who graduated from higher education in Cuba linked to the management of health at work with the purpose of avoiding occupational diseases and guaranteeing a better work environment in correspondence with the task to exercise.
