Although it requires big resources for its sustainability, the place has extraordinary conditions for healthy recreation, environmental education and academic and scientific development, JBN Director Carlos Manuel Perez told Prensa Latina prior to the anniversary.
The facility houses Cuba’s most important herbarium and library on botany and generates many scientific researches to solve problems that the country must face.
The place, considered one of the most charming in Havana, has a staff of 32 professionals dedicated to academic work and many of them are involved in teaching as well.
